Soweto Tours

I have never been to Soweto, only heard of it and whizzed past it on the highway. This doesn't mean that I am oblivious to it's existence or tit's people and it's place in history. In fact, I have done my homework and all my reading up on things that took place from the birth of Soweto in the early 1900's until the uprisings in the 1970's and further on. I also know there is a set of cooling towers from which one can bungee jump and that Soweto was home to Nelson Mandela and to Desmond Tutu at various points in their lives. But what would make all of this real is a tour with a knowledgeable guide, preferably a Soweto resident. I am booking a place for a tour through Soweto and it's importance in history, probably for this weekend.
